Experienced Sales Leadership Executive, Ed Porter, Joins Smart Harbor as Chief Revenue Officer

 

COLUMBUS, Ohio (17 January 2019) Smart Harbor announced that Ed Porter has joined its executive team as chief revenue officer – a newly created role. Porter will focus on advancing the company’s market position as a leading digital technology solutions provider in insurance—with a priority on growing brand awareness, expanding its distribution channels, and enhancing the customer experience. Leading the strategic efforts throughout the full customer lifecycle, Porter will continue to drive the agent-focused initiatives of Smart Harbor as it continues to empower insurance agents with world class products and consultation.

Bringing over 15 years of strategic leadership experience to Smart Harbor, Porter has an extensive background in building customer sales and service models for small to medium-sized business (SMB) owners. Prior to joining Smart Harbor, he led the advancement and creation of multiple sales channels for the industry leader in hospitality supplies, Guest Supply, a Sysco company.

Porter has also made a presence within the sales industry by being a member, award winner, and local chapter president of the American Association of Inside Sales Professionals (AA-ISP). He has been overseeing the Columbus, OH chapter since its re-creation in 2015, which was the recipient of the North American Chapter of the Year in 2018. He was also named a Top 25 Most Influential Sales Professional and the recipient of the 2018 Excellence in Execution award for his contributions to the community.
